US tied into Paris agreement until 2020

UN's Christiana Figueres explains why Trump cannot 'legally' quit Paris agreement now

President Trump cannot legally quit the Paris agreement on climate change until November 2020 according to Christiana Figueres who was the United Nations's chief negotiator for the Paris climate deal.

Ms Figueres says: "The interesting thing is the withdrawal announced by President Trump was a political decision...but from a legal procedural point of view the United States will not be able to withdrawal until the 06th of November 2020."
