17% Drop in Seasonal Workers since Brexit Vote
If you've been enjoying locally grown strawberries and salads this summer you could have cause for concern. The U.K fruit and vegetable industry needs an estimated 80,000 seasonal workers each year, and the National Farmers' Union have reported a 17% shortfall in the seasonal workforce coming to the U.K since the Brexit vote. So what effect will this shortage in labour have on Northern Irish producers?
