Camber Sands victim's brother "disappointed" by inquest
The brother of one of the men who drowned at Camber Sands beach in East Sussex says he's "annoyed" and "disappointed" by the inquest's conclusion. Ajirthan Ravi's older brother Nitharsan, was 22 years old and died along with his four friends in August 2106. They were all of Sri Lankan origin.
There were no lifeguards and Ajirthan disputes the coroner's conclusion that their deaths might still have happened even if there had been lifeguards. The Royal National Lifeboat Institution had recommended employing lifeguards before the tragedy. Since then, the council has agreed to provide seasonal lifeguard cover. Our reporter Nalini Sivathasan has been speaking to Ajirthan for the first time since the inquest.
