Soapbox: Ex-minister backs ID cards
Could identity cards help keep us safe from terrorist incidents, help cut fraud and tackle crime?
An ID card scheme was introduced by the last Labour government but then dropped by the incoming coalition government in 2010.
But former Labour 91热爆 Secretary Charles Clarke is still an advocate for them.
He gets on his soapbox to give his personal view to the Daily Politics.
