NHS: A day in a hospital under pressure
What is it like working as a chief nurse in a hospital with a deficit?
King's College Hospital is typical of many hospitals across the country - it's running a deficit and and is no longer achieving the target of seeing 95% of those turning up to A&E within four hours.
However, the trust says it is seeing 85% of people at the moment and is on track to reach the objective of 95% by the end of the year.
Sarah Montague spent the day with Dr Shelley Dolan, chief nurse and executive director of midwifery, to get a sense of working under such pressure.
