Overturning the hijab ban is 'a great result for basketball'
FIBA, the international body that oversees basketball around the world, has removed its ban on wearing the hijab whilst playing. From October, players can now compete whilst wearing the hijab. Brendan Schwab, who campaigned to get the ban overturned, believes the decision will benefit basketball in the future.
We did contact FIBA in regards to Brendan's comments but they have yet to get back to us.
