Liverpool City Council's Claire McColgan on the 50th anniversary of The Beatles' album

Liverpool is gearing up for huge celebrations to mark the 50th anniversary of The Beatles鈥� Sgt. Pepper鈥檚 Lonely Hearts Club Band.

Claire McColgan, the artistic director at Liverpool City Council said that they will showcase 13 pieces of "art" in the form of performances that will "reflect" the album.

"We wanted to pay homage to the Beatles and to the city of Liverpool," she told Mishal Husain.
