Why does UKIP want to ban the burka?
A UKIP government would ban sharia law in Britain and has revealed an election commitment to ban the burka.
Its equalities spokesman Margot Parker said this was about "not allowing women to be second class citizens", when she debated the plan with Labour's Nia Griffith and Conservative Alistair Burt, who were both opposed the policy.
