'Leading Tories want a bonfire of regulation'
Green MEP: Brexit is "ideologically driven" and could reduce environmental standards.
Green Party MEP Molly Scott Cato has asked David Davis to release all of his scenario planning for Brexit's impact on the economy, the health service, and the environment.
Speaking to the Westminster Hour's Sam Macrory, Dr Scott Cato said that some leading Brexiteers wanted Brexit for a bonfire of environmental standards regulation, adding that there is no majority support among voters for such a move.
She went on to say that given how much legislation is at stake during the Brexit process, it would be "particularly disturbing" to think of the Government making plans "behind closed doors".
