KCOM Turnstiles "not fit for purpose"

The Football Supporters Federation have criticised the communication from the SMC and the turnstile system at the stadium.
The SMC have issued the following statement:
"The turnstiles we use at the KCOM Stadium are designed and manufactured by a highly reputable company in the industry, used at many other Premier League and Championship grounds and are fully compliant and fit for purpose.
We always advise supporters to arrive in plenty of time to ensure they gain entry to the stadium in good time before kick-off. We have great facilities within the KCOM Stadium for supporters to take advantage of pre-match including food and drink on the concourse, as well as pre-match entertainment, signing sessions and various other activities in a bid to encourage supporters to enter the ground in good time.
The only reported issue we have had with supporters missing kick-off in the away end this season was at our EFL Cup Semi-Final second leg tie with Manchester United in late January of this year. A large number of away supporters arrived late because of a car accident on their route into Hull ahead of the game, thus causing congestion at the turnstiles in the lead-up to kick-off."
