Remarkable Lives
Owen McNeir has been meeting, interviewing and taking photographs of people who live in care homes with the aim of providing an insight into the life of the elderly.
Whilst working in care home as a fundraising consultant, he realised there were many extraordinary people in care homes and that their stories would raise awareness of the elderly experience.
At his grandfathers funeral and discovered that there was so much he didn't know about him.
He hopes that it produces a lasting, permanent memory for families and friends and to open a window on the past, giving older people a renewed sense of identity, dignity and meaning.
He even met Winston Churchill's old secretary!
