The volcanic slopes of Mauna Loa in Hawaii. just happen to resemble the dry surface of Mars, making it the perfect place for a series of missions called Hi-Seas which are attempting to figure out how crews can live together in situations similar to Mars. What works and what doesn’t? Kim Binstead of Hawaii University is project supervisor.
