'Inglorious Empire' is the latest book by Shashi Tharoor. In it, the Indian politician looks at the history of the Empire and how it impacted the Indian subcontinent after partition in 1947. He considers the legacy left behind by colonialism as "devastating" and has continuously demanded an apology for the British Raj rule. He spoke to Amol about his new book and Dave, an Englishman whose father left India when he was 12, called in to ask what the British had to apologise for.
