The all-new South Street Arts centre in Reading is reopening after 拢800,000 of investment works.

John Luther - Artistic Director of South Street Arts Centre:

"It has been a long eight months with builders in the building doing their thing, but it's fantastic what they've done and we're really pleased.

"We've improved facilities for audiences, so we've got brand new seating with much better sight lines.

"And we've got a brand new bar area...there should be much more going on.

"One of the problems the council had was the old building needed a lot of money spending on it, so we were very lucky to apply to the Arts Council and get that 拢500,000. So the lions share of the money came from them."
