Reading Museum are giving people the chance to relive the experience of school during the Victorian era.
Phillip Hammond, Victorian Teacher aka. Richard Ousley:
"Most hard as life is, I work of course to try and better the lives of young people. Primarily we are trying to create the perfect workforce.
"In many ways there may be many similarities (to school today), we priorities reading and writing.
"The discipline of learning such things would make people more obedient workers. I must say in my time many of the children you come across you must show a firm hand."
