Previously undiscovered Saxon and Norman buildings found on the Mendips
The foundations of what are believed to be a rare Saxon workshop and a Norman building have been found in a Mendip village. Amateur archaeologist Pip Osborne decided to investigate the field because of a hunch she had about the area. As well as the buildings, pottery and metalwork have been found there.
