"The first one to go out was the one we recorded in Newbury"
TV host Bruce Parker on how he became the first presenter of the Antiques Roadshow.
"The day job for me was doing South Today, which I did for everyday for near on 35 years. But I did other programmes on the network, and one of those programmes was called Badger Watch.
"We went live on 91热爆 One every night at 10pm for a week watching these Badger sets in Bristol.
"A producer got hold of me...and said I've got an idea I want to discuss with you. He said I want you to be the presenter."
