Indian actor Om Puri, star of British hit East is East, has died aged 66. He was a massive star in Bollywood and Pakistan. He was also one of the few that managed to make the cross over and work in Britain and Hollywood. Om Puri also worked alongside huge stars like Jack Nicholson and Tom Hanks. He was in the film reluctant fundamentalist with Riz Ahmed and Helen Mirren in the hundred foot journey.In 2004 he was awarded an honorary OBE for his contribution to the British film industry. Nihal spoke to film director Gurinder Chadha and actor Nitin Ganatra who pay tribute to the veteran actor.
