'Barclays Africa is a stand alone organisation'
In 2005 British-owned Barclays bought a majority stake in South African bank Absa and preparations began to integrate the two under the brand name Barclays Africa.
However, that integration never happened and in the first part of 2016 Barclays announced it was pulling back from African markets and looking to sell its stake in Barclays Africa.
So, where does Barclays Africa and Absa go from here? The 91热爆鈥檚 Lerato Mbele sat down with chief executive of Barclays Africa, Maria Ramos, to find out more.
