Shelter figures shows more than a quarter of a million people across England are homeless.

"This is some completely new research, and we've taken a whole new look at stats.

"It's probably an underestimation in all honesty, because there's lots of hidden homelessness that isn't even recorded.

"Every day in our services we have people coming in who are struggling to make ends meet.
