This is Emilia and Thomas’ story, told by Nadiya Hussain.

Emilia and Thomas’ Mum, Annette, has cancer which has recently become incurable. They go to Maggie’s in Edinburgh, a group of centres which supports those living with a cancer diagnosis.

91Èȱ¬ Children in Need fund family days at eight centres across Scotland, where children find out more about the illness and talk to a team of therapists about their worries and concerns whilst playing and having fun. For Emilia and Thomas, Maggie’s has become a place of safety, reassurance and comfort.
