Advent Sunday
Anthony marks the first Sunday of Advent.
Today is Advent Sunday and Anthony's first half hour of hymns and worship music reflects this - also the Hymn of the Week contains two giants of the hymnwriting world, also before seven, a look through the Sunday papers and a few ideas of what to do in the county today, the second part in our series looking at the new Christian movement which hundreds of gypsies and travellers have joined - plus - the restoration of the rood screen at St. Michael and All Angels at Barton Turf.
Between seven and eight, why the Pentecostal movement is bucking the trend when it comes to church attendance - Anthony speaks to Bishop Joe Aldred about what draws the estimated 300 million worldwide followers. Anthony hears about why people will be sleeping on the streets of Great Yarmouth to raise awareness of homelessness from Anna Heydon, Development Worker for Imagine Norfolk Together and the Christmas Tree Festival taking place at St. Faith's In Gaywood.
Between eight and nine, Anthony talks to Father Sean Connolly and Father Philip Barnes about what they are doing to help you celebrate or take some time out of the world during Advent. Also, Harry Benson and Aysha Warrak talk about a survey of 15 thousand women who said when it comes to marriage, Muslim wives are the happiest - and, as Norwich Cathedral prepares to welcome Dippy the Diplodocus, Anthony speaks to Dr Patrick Richmond, Chair of Science And Faith In Norfolk, how you can have an evolution and Christianity in the same room.
