Liz Truss: Re-offenders cost society
More prison staff are to be recruited to help tackle repeat offenders.
The Justice Secretary Liz Truss has revealed she told the Treasury repeat offenders are costing society 拢15 billion per year.
She will announce recruitment of an extra 2,100 prison officers in order to ease staffing shortages in jails across England and Wales.
