Beached yacht broken up and removed

John Favell was sailing Hull to Canvey Island on 29 October when he experienced difficulties.

His engine failed and the wind dropped, meaning he couldn't get back into open water.

His yacht ran aground on a beach near Happisburgh.

Mr Favell hoped to be able to refloat it at high tide but was unable to.

It will now be broken up and removed.
