Africa's newest 'female dominated' airline takes off
Aviation is a male-dominated industry. Men lead from the early phase of an aircraft, such as design and engineering, through to its management and piloting.
However, there is one African woman who has dared to change things - Siza Mzimela. A year ago she launched her own airline, known as Fly Blue Crane. Using her power as the majority shareholder, she has insisted that most of the staff be women and people under 30.
She also knows a thing or two about the industry because most of her career has been in the aviation world. Siza was previously the chief executive of South African Airways, one of the largest carriers on the continent - at the helm during one of the most turbulent periods in the airline's history.
She spoke to the 91热爆鈥檚 Lerato Mbele about her latest venture.
