Our exclusive with 'green eyed' Afghan girl photographer Steve McCurry
You probably don't know her by name but you will definitely recognise her. She is the Afghan girl with green eyes photographed on the cover of National Geogrpahic magazine in 1984 when she was in a refugee camp in north west Pakistan during the Soviet occuption of Afghanistan. One of the most iconic photos of that era. Sharbat Gula and her family moved to Pakistan and have lived there ever since - more than 30 years - but last week she was arrested for having fake identity papers. The photographer behind that image was Steve McCurry. Speaking exclusively to the 91热爆 Asian Network, he told Sheetal Parmar he will do everything possible to help her family at this difficult time.
