JCRAG launch writing competition
Sometimes the worries of the world can seem a long way away when you're curled up on the sofa enjoying a film on a cold winter's night - when in fact a lot of what we see on the news is taking place right on our doorstep.
The Jersey Calais Refugee Aid Group has been making a difference to the lives of many people in Calais since it was formed last year - helping those without a home in desperate need as they flee from war torn countries.
Now JCRAG are giving students the chance to step into those weary shoes through a new writing competition entitled "A Long Way From 91热爆".
Charlie McArdle spoke to Kat Tiefenthal about the competition being judged by Sir Trevor McDonald.
