StubHub: Open to talks on ticket touting
The ticket selling website StubHub says it's open to talks with the music industry on large-scale ticket touting.
The issue of touts using computers to "harvest" large numbers of tickets and then sell them on at inflated prices, was raised at Prime Minister's Questions by Conservative MP Nigel Adams.
The MP was joined on Pienaar's Politics by Brian Message who manages Radiohead, Nick Cave and PJ Harvey, and Amy Bettias, a spokesperson for StubHub.
Brian Message called on StubHub to "get round the table" with the industry to sort the issue out.
Amy Bettias said around forty percent of tickets on the StubHub site are sold at face value or below, and the company was open to the idea of talks.
