Time to take a closer look at zoos?

Sir David Attenborough says zoo animals aren't given enough privacy, and should be viewed through peepholes instead of glass. His call came after Kumbuka, a large silver back gorilla, escaped from his enclosure at London Zoo after reportedly becoming distressed by the constant attention of visitors. So is it time to rethink the role of zoos?
