One of the greatest British athletes of all time, Jessica Ennis-Hill has announced her retirement from athletics. The heptathlete claimed a silver medal in this year鈥檚 Rio Olympics and won gold four years ago at the London Games.

In a statement she said she had "amazing memories" but wanted to "leave on a high."

Former GB sprinter and Olympic gold medallist Darren Campbell told 5 live Drive that it was a 鈥渟ad day鈥� and that Ennis-Hill had 鈥渁chieved exceptional things鈥� and was a 鈥減henomenal athlete.鈥�
