A racehorse which failed to sell at auction is now worth an estimated £500,000.

Owner Connie Burton, a hospital administrator, said the horse Mrs Danvers "didn't promote any interest" in the sale ring but has since won her first five races and £200,000 in prize money.

She added: "To have bred something that's done as well as she has, has been an absolute dream come true for us."
