Syrian teacher: ‘We are living but we don’t know until when’
A Syrian teacher living in Eastern Aleppo has told 5 live Drive “we are living but we don’t know until when.” It comes after the UN’s special envoy to Syria Staffan de Mistura declared that the area would be completely destroyed before Christmas if the current level of fighting continues.
Abdulkafi Alhamdo is an English teacher in the region and says the people there “don’t have anything.”
“We don’t see vegetables we don’t see fruit at all.”
At least 376 people have been killed and 1,266 wounded in the last two weeks in Aleppo according to UN humanitarian advisor Jan Egeland.
