A robot weighing about six tonnes, standing 4.5m (15ft) tall and equipped with a giant paintball cannon has been created by engineers in California.

Many of the components for MegaBot MK II have been taken from machines used in the construction industry.

The engineers behind the robot eventually want to have a group of robots which can compete in tournaments.
