'Truth needs to be spoken about race and economic opportunity'

Special correspondent James Naughtie reports from the streets of Charlotte.

Protestors have again been on the streets of Charlotte, North Carolina, following the police shooting of Keith Lamont Scott, a black man, earlier this week.

Yesterday, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, a woman police officer was charged with manslaughter over the death of another African-American man.

The shootings come at a sensitive time in the presidential campaign, with the first Clinton-Trump debate three days away.
