Why I chose to protest at the Olympics

A female Iranian activist who held a protest banner during a volleyball game earlier this week at the Olympics in Rio was asked to take it down and leave by security. Darya Safai was carrying a sign reading: "Let Iranian women enter their stadiums. Women have been banned or restricted from all-male sport events in Iran following the Islamic Revolution in 1979. Normally the International Olympic Committee bans political statements at the games but have a listen to what happened to her.

Darya has been talking to the 91热爆's Ben James.
