He was also part of the team behind Serial, the most successful podcast to date, and now he's on tour with his own dance troupe.
He explained to Justin Webb how his success is built on his dedication to storytelling.
Three Acts, Two Dancers, One Radio Host, comes to the Royal Festival Hall in London on 16 August.
