Tanni Grey-Thompson: IPC's Russia ban a 'strong stance'
Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson says the International Paralympic Committee was right to ban the entire Russian team from the Paralympics in Rio, and that it showed a 'really strong stance' on the doping claims.
She told Stephen Nolan that in contrast, the IOC has "slightly passed the buck" and left decisions to international sport federations.
Baroness Grey-Thompson added that she felt sympathy for innocent Russian para-athletes, because they don't get sponsorship or media coverage, and their funding is based on how they compete at major events, and Russia is not the only country with a doping problem.
