For many players Pokemon Go, a mobile game that blends the real world with computer graphics, will be their first experience of augmented reality.

The collision of the real world with the virtual world is one of the great changes of modern times and it is going to be explored at the Edinburgh digital entertainment festival.

Tony Orsten, the CEO of The Imaginarium Studios, and Tanya Laid, the founder and CEO of Digital Jam, explained the differences between virtual reality and augmented reality.
