Shepton Mallet Prison plans refused

Plans to convert the prison site in Shepton Mallet into homes have been rejected by councillors. The developer City & Country has told us this afternoon that it's "naturally disappointed with the outcome" of the meeting and it will review the reasons and see whether it "can find a solution and maintain the viability".
