‘New sepsis rules could have saved my son’
Melissa Mead, whose son died of sepsis, says new guidance could have saved his life.
Suspected sepsis in patients must be treated as an emergency in the same way as heart attacks are, England's health watchdog NICE has announced.
We speak to Melissa Mead, whose son William died of sepsis in 2014, and Professor Saul Faust, chair of the NICE group that developed the new guidelines.
