Deer fears due to Silverstone flypast
A deer farmer from Northamptonshire says he fears that some of his herd could be killed as a result of a flying display due to take place at the British Grand Prix this weekend.
An RAF Typhoon jet is due to fly over Silverstone, but Colin Lees Millais says the noise of the jet could cause his herd to stampede.
When a similar event took place in 2012, 18 deer were killed after being crushed when the herd bolted.
Silverstone Circuit said they have "proactively engaged with Mr Lees-Millais and arranged a meeting with the Air Display Director in order to go through the flight plans and agree display lines to suit all parties."
