The streets of Zimbabwe's main cities are deserted during a nationwide stay away to protest at the lack of jobs and unpaid wages.

This sudden surge of protest has been fuelled by Pastor Evan Mawarire, who posted an impassioned video on social media about the Zimbabwean flag and the country's future, calling for non-violent protest under the hashtag #ThisFlag.
