'Self-harming rise' among prisoners on indefinite sentences

Zoe Conway reports on self-harm among prisoners on IPPs

The rate of self-harm by inmates serving indefinite prison sentences in England and Wales has risen by almost 50% in four years, figures suggest.

The Prison Reform Trust is calling for the government to urgently bring forward legislation to allow prisoners on these sentences to be given release date.
