Filming on the third series of 91热爆 Scotland鈥檚 comedy series Scot Squad got underway in Glasgow this week as the law keepers returned for another arresting mix of comedy and crime.

A Comedy Unit production for 91热爆 Scotland, the new seven-part series, which includes a festive special episode, sees the return of Scot Squad favourites Jack Docherty, Jordan Young, Sally Reid, Darren Connell, Grado, Manjot Sumal, Chris Forbes, Ashley Smith, James Kirk, Karen Bartke and ML Stone as Scotland鈥檚 band of Bravehearts, doing their duty to protect and serve.

The first day of filming saw Grado and Manjot Sumal reprise their roles as police partners, PC Hugh McKirdy and PC Surjit Singh as the part-improvised, part-scripted series took to the streets of Ibrox. Guest stars for the new series will be announced in due course.

Executive Producers for the third series of Scot Squad are Ewan Angus for 91热爆 Scotland and Rab Christie for The Comedy Unit, while Ian 鈥楴oddy鈥� Davidson returns to direct and produce.

Rab Christie, Executive Producer says: 鈥淭he Comedy Unit is delighted to be filming a third series ofScot Squad for 91热爆 Scotland. From Chief to Volunteer the nation鈥檚 heroes are pumped and ready to get back out and tackle crime in all its guises - on the street, on the phone, at the desk. The cast of cops and robbers includes brand new comic talent, familiar faces and one or two national treasures who rub shoulders with the Squad.鈥�

Ewan Angus, 91热爆 Scotland鈥檚 Executive Producer adds: 鈥淚t鈥檒l be great to welcome the Squad back. The previous series have been in high demand as a training resource for police forces worldwide.鈥�

A Scot Squad spokesman said: "We're glad to see that the 91热爆 cameras are out with us again, catching us catching them, the criminals.鈥�

The spoof comedy will film in locations around Glasgow for the next six weeks and is expected to return to 91热爆 One Scotland in the winter.
