Kane and Alli similar to Shearer and Sheringham

Alan Shearer says he senses that Harry Kane and Dele Alli have a similar partnership to himself and Teddy Sheringham.

The former England striker played alongside Sheringham during Euro 96 and went on to receive the tournament's Golden Boot.

Shearer said: "They know each others game inside out, very much like myself and Teddy Sheringham."

Unlike Kane and Alli, who are teammates at Tottenham, Shearer and Sheringham played for different clubs.

The Spurs teammates both started in England's 1-1 draw against England in their opening Group B match.
