Scientists in the United States are trying to grow human organs inside pigs, through the technique known as gene editing.

Some experts believe the human-animal chimeras could be the answer to the worldwide shortage of transplant organs. However, critics have voiced concerns over the implications of the part-human, part-animal embryos.

Peter Stevenson from Compassion in World Farming and Sir John Burn, professor of clinical genetics from the University of Newcastle, debate the ethics surrounding the issue.
