Jesse Owens - Black Lives Matter

'Race' is the first feature film focused on the track and field icon Jesse Owens who was infamously known for winning four gold medals at the 1936 Berlin Olympics, a feat that is still remembered around the globe. 'Race' spans the two years of Owens life leading up to and including those Olympics. The film also revisits the US Olympic committee's deliberations over whether to pull out of the games in protest of Nazi Germany hosting them. The daughters of Jesse Owens explained what their father would have made of today's issues and how Owens continues to influence some of the greatest sporting athletes in the world to this day.
