In 1974 two explosions, which became known as the Birmingham pub bombings, brought terrible scenes to the city centre.

The original people who were convicted, known as the Birmimgham Six, were later released in a famous miscarriage of justice case.

Today a coroner has ordered that inquests into the deaths of 21 people, should resume.

West Midlands Police Chief Constable Dave Thompson admits to Martha Kearney, that previous investigations in to the bombings were the "most serious failings in the force's history".
