Mobile phone footage has emerged, apparently showing the arrest of a man on Midland Road, Bedford, who later died.

The footage shows plain-clothed police officers urging the man, named locally as Carl Brunner, to spit out something which was in his mouth.

The death, on Wednesday, is being investigated by the Independent Police Complaints Commission.
