The case of a father who refused to pay a 拢120 fine for taking his daughter on an unauthorised term-time holiday is due to be heard by the High Court.
The Today programme spoke to both the father, Jon Platt, and Patsy Kane, executive headteacher of Whalley Range and Levenshulme High Schools in Manchester.
